UVic first hosted the Monster Erg in 1985. After hosting the event for 35+ years, UVic decided to no longer host an indoor event and in 2023 Brentwood College School hosted the first ever Kraken Erg: Brentwood Indoor Regatta.
On February 2, 2025, Brentwood College School will host the third annual Kraken Erg: Brentwood Indoor Regatta.
