We are thrilled to host the Vancouver Lake Spring Sprints and look forward to a fantastic event. Please review the following information and share it with your parents to ensure smooth logistics and an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
VANCOUVER LAKE PARK:
Event Details:
- Course Length: 2,000m for juniors 1,000m for masters/open
- Results will be posted to crewtimer
- Park Opens at 5:45am
- Venue/Course Maps/Trailer Parking Map
Parking and Drop-off:
- Park Entry & Parking Fees
- Park Hours: The main entrance gate to the park will open at 5:30 am on Saturday and Sunday mornings and will close at dusk (about 5:30pm)
- Parking Fees: Parking fees are $2 for motorcycles, $3 for cars, $6 for cars with trailers. Please have payment ready upon arriving at the park. Cash is helpful
- Bus Parking: Buses are not allowed to enter the park. Buses should drop off alongside the road outside of the park or at one of the staging areas. Please only drop off/pick up, and park in designated areas.
Trailer Parking:
Trailers
Trailer Arrival: Trailers may arrive during the following times, when there will be a parking attendant available and there is daylight. Trailers MAY NOT enter the park before dawn or after dusk.
- Friday March 7th, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm (the trailer gate will be LOCKED at about 6:30 pm)
- Saturday March 8th, 5:30am-6:00pm
- Sunday March 9th, 5:30 am Gates open
- Trailer Parking: Trailers must enter the park through the main entrance where the tollbooth is located. Parking fees are $6 for vehicles with trailers, and $3 for just the vehicle. Follow the Trailer Parking signs and take the road to the right, to the Trailer Parking lot entrance at the South Overflow parking lot, where you will be issued a Trailer Parking Permit and directed to a spot.
Only vehicles with the Trailer Parking Permit will be allowed to enter this parking lot. The south exit from the parking lot will remain open throughout the regatta. However, the teeth will be up. Please do not try to enter the trailer lot through this entrance.
Trailer parking format is similar to that at Junior Regionals. See Map below
Staging and Rigging:
- Keep all roads & paths clear
- Please take the space your crew needs
- Crews can begin set up the day of their event
Viewing Area:
- The Beach area will be the best for spectating/viewing
- Please be mindful of incoming and exiting crews
- Please keep the marked “boat paths” clear
Disposal:
- Please be sure to comb your team tent and boat areas for trash at the end of the regatta, and deliver your trash to the large dumpster in the parking lot (please do not overflow the small dumpsters and trash cans in the park). Teams that fail to clean up around their team tent and boat storage area will be assessed a park fine for not doing so.
Regatta Logistics:
- All Crews Please Bring Your Own Bow Numbers
- All crews getting ready to launch must check in with launch control to check bow balls and heel ties, bow numbers,
- Crews are responsible for meeting USRowing safety requirements for athletes and equipment.
- Make sure all athletes are wearing warm clothes, its early March!
- All scratches or disputes need to be communicated by coaches (not rowers or parents) to the welcome tent, who will then get in touch with the appropriate people.
- Medals will be for first place crews only and can be picked up at the registration tent from noon-four.
- Each event is capped at 14 entries, this would allow for two flights per an event.
Starting Platform/Stakeboats:
- There will be stakeboats
Coaches Coxswain Meeting:

- A brief day-of meeting will take place at 6:30 am at the Volunteer tent
Race Schedule and Results:
- We will use crewtimer for results, heat sheets
