The Row for the Cure - Poughkeepsie is organized by Wappingers Crew Club with the support of the members of Hudson Valley Rowing League and Hudson River Rowing Association.

Wappingers Crew Club was organized in 2004 for the purpose of promoting and supporting the sport of rowing (A/K/A “crew”) for students enrolled in 7-12 grades in the Wappingers Central School District.  We are a parent and student run organization that is self-supporting.  We are an approved club within the Wappingers Central School District.  The district has supported us through transportation.

2018 will be the 11th year we have hosted a Row for the Cure. The spirit of this event is to enjoy friendly competition and raise donations to support Susan G. Komen's mission to "Save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer."
