LAUNCHING

Launching will be available from all three Conibear Shellhouse docks beginning 45 minutes before the first race. Crews must enter the dock area bow first. Dock Masters will be checking bow balls only.

WARM UP

The Warm up Area runs toward the starting line and back toward the Conibear launching/recovery docks. Lane 2 is the Dead Lane and will have inflatable tetrahedrons and volunteers in launches helping crews maintain the traffic pattern.

STAGING AREA

The staging area is just above the warm up area and before the starting platform. It is the responsibility of the coxswain to know their race time and to be in the staging area at least one event prior to their event (for duals). In both instances this equates to approximately 10 minutes before their race start time. It is the responsibility of the crew if their race time is missed.

STARTING PLATFORM

Competitors will load the starting dock from the rear. Side of the lane to enter from will be announced by the Head Official at the Coaches and Coxswains Meeting and will be determined based on wind pattern.

MEDICAL

All visiting teams should provide for themselves their own general medical equipment: tape, gauze, ice, etc. If a member of a visiting team needs significant attention, an Athletic Trainer is on site in the Athletic Training Room of Alaska Airline Arena. The finish line of the event is located at the UW Hospital for urgent needs. The Coast Guard is stationed at the start line and finish line of each race if emergencies occur.

RESULTS

All results will be posted in real time on the HereNow website. Some select races may have results available on a television screen near the finish line. Results will be sent to Row2K the day of the event for additional publication on their website.
