2025 Crew Classic Wintech Rentals

Is there a separate category for brick and mortar rowing clubs?
Yes. In 2023 the Crew Classic began offering medals to the overall event winners, and also to clubs who meet the brick and mortar criteria. Event trophies will only be presented to the overall winners of the event. Contact the Crew Classic for more information about brick and mortar qualifications.

Where should I stay?
The San Diego Crew Classic is funded in part by San Diego Tourism and Marketing District Assistance Funds. SDTMD is one of our largest and most important sources of funding, and the Crew Classic's relationship with them depends on generating hotel night stays. When Crew Classic participants stay with one of our partner hotels, it helps to ensure the future of the Crew Classic in ways that home-sharing and vacation rental stays do not (such as Airbnb). The Crew Classic encourages all of its participants to book their hotel stays at discounted event rates with HBC Event Services

Can I have a tent for my team?
Yes, the Crew Classic hosts an alumni row. No private or pop up tents are allowed anywhere on the venue. Tents must be reserved in advance, and tent registrations are due no later than February 28, 2025. You can register for an alumni tent at: crewclassic.org/alumni-tents

Where do I park?
Parking at Crown Point Shores is free in the red and green lots during the regatta (see site map below). The yellow lot is reserved team parking for team vans with yellow lot parking passes distributed by the Crew Classic. No additional yellow lot parking passes will be distributed outside of team registration packets.

Where is the best place to watch the regatta?
The Crew Classic operates inside a secure, ticketed venue which includes the shoreline along last 500m of the race course. There are multiple places along the shore to stand and watch the races, as well as shaded VIP enclosures which offer tv monitors showing the race from start to finish. The Crew Classic provides a jumbotron near the south end of the venue that streams all of the racing and PA commentary. Spectators may also catch parts of the racing futher up the race course from either of the Ingraham St. Bridges, or on the shores of Vacation Isle.

Are dogs allowed at the Crew Classic?
Only registered service animals are allowed at the Crew Classic.

May I bring my bike to the regatta?
The Crew Classic is a foot traffic only venue. No bikes, e-bikes, scooters, e-scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, skates or rollerblades are allowed on site. You may lock your bike to the exterior venue fences. Scooters, boards and skates are not permitted inside the venue.

Can I fly my drone at the regatta?
Only drones licensed and permitted by the Crew Classic may operate during the regatta. The Crew Classic has contracted drone pilots to capture video footage of the racing, and any outside drones operating in and around the venue may cause safety hazards or interfere with racing coverage.
