A rower or coxswain cannot have reached his or her 19th year prior to September 1 of that academic year, or the year in which he or she completes the 12th grade of secondary school, having been a fulltime student, whichever is later. Racing is open to high school students only.
Novice oarsmen shall be those athletes in their first year of rowing or coxing who have not competed in a regatta prior to June 15 of the current year, regardless of the age or grade of the athlete. This rule applies equally with respects to both sculling and sweep rowing. (i.e. an oarsperson with two years of sweep experience but no sculling experience shall not be considered a novice and vice versa.) Athletes who cox a season(s) and who later become rowers in subsequent season (or vice versa) will be considered novice rowers in their first year of rowing.
Rowers may double row in events, but no accomodations in the schedule will be made to allow this.
Competitors in the same boat must be from the same club or the same school. No composite entries.
A team must enter a 1st Boat in an Event in order to enter a 2nd Boat in that same Event. Example: If you want to enter a 2nd 4X, you must also have a 1st 4X entry.
B Boats are allowed.
Awards - First place medals will be awarded in each event. There must be at least two entries in an event to receive an award.
