The TBC Racing Summer Invitational Regatta will use the following definitions for events.
- Novice
An athlete who started rowing in scholastic or club competitions after the summer season of 2023.
- U17
As according to the US Rowing definition, an athlete who is 16 or younger on December 31, 2024.
- Youth
An athlete who graduates or has graduated from high school no earlier than 2024.
- Open
An athlete – of any experience, age, or weight.
- Upper
Boats ranked higher among a single team’s entries in the same event type.
- Lower
Boats ranked lower among a single team’s entries in the same event type. A team must have an Upper boat entry to enter a Lower boat for that event type.
