- Brunswick, ME (USA)
- Hosted By: Maine Coast Rowing Association
Is there room for a team tent? YES
Can I bring a trailer? YES
How many events can I compete in? As many as you can, given the listed times for the events!
Can we hotseat boats? Yes, BUT there will not be a change in event order to accomodate your team's specific needs. If it appears that several clubs need more time between events to use a boat, the regatta supervisor will consider changing the event order.
Will there be food? Yes, we have a baked goods and coffee table. The regatta is very close to Maine Street in Brunswick, where there are many food establishments.
Can I come the day before and practice on the river? Yes. Practice times will be coordinated with attending members who will supervise the use of the boatyard and dock. The practice window due to tidal constraints will be between 3 to 6 pm. There will not be any space for boat storage in the locked boatyard.
How are results determined? US Rowing age groups will be used to seed starting order and determine results. There will be no time reduction within each US Rowing defined age group, however an overall " best raw time" and best "handicapped time" will be awarded per boat category (overall). Awards will be given for 1st place within each age group for each boat category.
Do I need to sign a waiver? Yes! Our regatta is not sponsored by US Rowing, however, we do carry insurance for the event through Paddlesports. Please click on the "Compliance" tab to the left and you will find the link to the waiver form, which can be signed online. You MUST sign a waiver to compete, thus you will not receive your registration packet until we recieve your completed waiver. High School Coaches, please forward the URL to your REGISTERED rowers for their signage and remind them that their parents will have to cosign if they are under the age of 18.
