LOCATION  

The Nelson Sprints Regatta takes place at Rotary Lakeside Park

1803 Lakeside Drive, Nelson, BC.

PUBLIC WASHROOMS

Public washrooms are available near the boat storage and launching (on map) area (in the building with NDCC paddlesport rental).  On Saturday, August 10th they will be open from 6:30 am.

GENERAL PARKING is available in the parking lot at the main entrance to Lakeside Park, as well as along Second Street (see map above). 

BOAT TRAILER PARKING is available near the public boat launch at the far end of the main parking lot near the main entrance to Lakeside Park, under the Big Orange Bridge (affectionately know as BOB) (see map above).

Access to the boat storage area is by way of the service road (with the tourist trolley tracks) near the BBQ area and behind the Rose Garden Cafe and the playground (see map above) The gate to the Boat Storage Area will be open from 12 noon-10 pm on Friday evening for unloading trailers.

There is room for the trailers to pull in and unload near the tennis courts.

Boats can be put on stretchers in any green space near the new basketball courts and the NDCC rental building.

There will be someone staying overnight in the park in the boat storage area to secure the boats.

CAMPING

There is no overnight camping at Rotary Lakeside Park, it is for day-use only. 

The City of Nelson Campground is close by. Be sure to reserve your spot early  by emailing [email protected] or calling 250-352-7618.
