Below are some of our frequently asked questions.

We’re getting ourselves all decked out for the event. How will we be judged?

Yay! Do dress up for the event. Our judges will be out and about looking for the best costumes! Be sure to stop by after the race at Gas Works to find out if you won the grand prize!

I’d like to row in a unique combo that doesn’t fit the categories in the event. Can we row anyway?

Very likely you can! Contact our [Regatta Director] as soon as you can so we can add the event in the right place for the race. We will likely not be able to accommodate any requests that come after the Wednesday entry deadline.

We’re racing in the Penny Lewis Challenge Cup and, if we win, when is the award being handed out?

All awards are picked up at Gas Works. We will highlight this award as a way to continue to honor Penny. We ask that you stop by Gas Works Park as a crew and participate with us at the end of all racing. Come celebrate with us at the park!

Where is the Coach and Coxswain meeting being held?

Our coach/cox meeting will again be virtual this year. We will post information about the logistics closer to the event. If you miss the meeting you can watch the recording that will be posted shortly after the event.

How long is the head race?

4850 meters.

Can I row more than one event?

Yes you can race multiple times as long as you can make the race start time. Be sure to check the schedule once we post the event list to confirm you still have time to hotseat. If you have issues contact [Regatta Director]to see if we can do anything to help you out.

How do I get my bow and bib number?

Pick up bow and bib numbers at Gas Works Park, starting at 5:30 am on Sunday. Clubs can send one representative to pick up all packets, however any single entry with compliance issues will be held until the issues have been resolved.

How do I return my bow and bib numbers?

You can return bow cards to the dock master’s at central sites. For clubs launching from their own boathouses please collect all bow cards and return them to us at Gas Works Park before noon on race day. Each card costs us money to replace. By returning them each year we allow that money to be donated to the cause. You can toss or save your bib number as a souvenir.

How do I win a free t-shirt?

It’s easy! Any donor that contributes $150 or more will be given a free t-shirt. Shirts can be picked up at Gas Works Park on race day. Start your individual fundraising pages on our GiveButter site today and start raising funds.

How do I win a pink erg?

Pink ergs are awarded to junior crews who raise at least $8,000 and master’s and junior crews who jointly raise at least $10,000. Start your team site on our GiveButter now and start raising funds.
