Denver Indoor Rowing Championships

1.  Lightweights may weigh in upon check in, but must be weighed in no later than an hour before their scheduled race.

2.  All competitors must be seated on their race ergometer, at least 2 minutes before the scheduled time of the race.

3.  Each rower may have one person acting as coxswain to verbally assist them through the race.  That person must also be present at least 2 minutes before the scheduled time of the race.   No one may enter the race area after that time.  After the race has started, Coxswains may not move around to different ergometers.  

4.  Athletes may listen to music in one ear. 

5.  At approximately one minute before the start, the Start shall say "Stop Rowing"

    All Rowers will cease rowing and sit in the start position holding the handle awaiting the starting commands.

    Once the flywheels of each Indoor Rowing Machine have stopped moving, the Starter shall say "Sit Ready"

6.  When the Starter sees that all rowers are ready to race, the starter shall start teh race by triggering the Race Computer starting command sequence.  The rowing maching monitors will display the visual symbols of the starting sequence.  

"Sit Ready, Attention - GO"

 

6.  We are adhering to the USRowing Rules regarding age eligibity for Junior Rowers.

  A Rower in an Indoor Rowing Event shall be 12 years or older.

 U19 : A competitor may compete in the U19category until December 31 of the year of their 18th birthday

 U17: A competitor may compete in the U17 category until December 31 of their 16th birthday.

 U15: A competitor may compete in the U15 category until December 31 of their 14th birthday.
