Curious as to how the USRowing Age handicap will be used for the timed events like the 30 minutes and the hour?

 When you register, you will see your age handicap displayed.  I am 61 and registered in the 30 minutes.  Regatta Central shows my handicap as 173 seconds.  Let's say, I hold a 2:20 average for my 30 minute row, my distance will be 6,429 meters.  Putting the 2:20 split and the 173 seconds into the Concept II pace calculator, I would then get another 618 meters added on to my 6,429m, I would have a total of 7,047m for this age handicapped race.  

The numbers used will be your actual distance, your split average, your age handicap to calculate your total for the 30 min and 60 min races.

For the races with a set distance like the 1/2 marathon and the 2k, your actual displayed handicap time will be subtracted from your final time.
