<h1>Race Day Information</h1>

<h3><strong>Registration</strong></h3>

<p>All registration will take place through Regatta Central. Registration opens Dec 8, 2023 and closes Feb 9, 2024. Walk-in and late registration will only be available if there is an opening in a heat. Each registered athlete will receive an item of&nbsp;official&nbsp;regatta merch at check-in.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Check-in</strong></h3>

<p>Check in opens at 7:00 am. It is recommended that athletes check in at least 1 hour&nbsp;prior to the start of their race, to have time to get acquainted with the facility and to warm up. Weigh-in for lightweight athlets&nbsp;will occur at registrstion no less than 1 hour prior to racing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Warm-up begin at 7:30. Warm-up ergs will be available for use by all competitors adjacent to the competition floor. Final warm-up strokes may be taken on the competition floor during the 5 minutes prior to race time.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Racing</strong></h3>

<p>Athletes should be on their competition erg 5 minutes prior to the start of their race. The competition floor is a restricted area. Heats will be called to the floor once the prior heat has finished. Each athlete is allowed to bring one person onto the competition floor during their race. Once a heat is over, athletes are asked to immediately clear the competition floor. This allows the regatta to stay running on time. Warm up ergs may be used for additional cool down. Event&nbsp;race start times are subject to change so check for updates.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Spectators</strong></h3>

<p>Admission to watch the event is free of charge. Spectators are welcome to watch races from the bleachers and not allowed on the competition floor.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Results</strong></h3>

<p>Results will be posted following races and online&nbsp;as soon as they are available and officially approved.</p>

<h3><strong>Awards</strong></h3>

<p>1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award medals&nbsp;will be given in each race category. All awards must be picked up the day of racing. No awards will be mailed.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Venue&nbsp;</strong></h3>

<p>No food and drinks are allowed in the Macllellan gym. Athletes may bring water bottles to the gym floor for warm up and racing.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Merchandise&nbsp;</strong></h3>

<p>A limited number of official event t-shirts will be for sale at the event.&nbsp; &nbsp;Also, see the&nbsp; MERCHANDISE / T-shirts menu item for information on Concept 2 sales.</p>
