We are excited to welcome you to the 2024 edition of NW Ergomania! Below is some important information.
Our primary goal is to provide a safe, quality race experience for all participants.
REGISTRATION
Do I need to register for both the USRowing Virtual Indoor Championships and NW Ergomania?
- No. By registering for NW Ergomania! your time(s) will automatically be submitted to the USRowing Indoor National Championships.
LIGHTWEIGHT ENTRIES
If you want your results counted towards a lightweight category, please select "Yes" to the lightweight question during the registration process. Lightweight competitors will weigh-in on race day, per the USRowing Rules of Rowing. Racers will race in the corresponding openweight category. However, results for lightweight athletes will be separated out and medals will be awarded for lightweights in each event.
We will have two scales, one for the official weigh in and one as a test scale. The test scale will have a note that specifies it is for testing only and any reading on that scale will not be used for official purposes. This is to say that we do not guarantee the test scale will have the same readout as the official scale.
We will follow sections 11-403 and 11-404 on pages 59-60 of the USRowing 2023 Rules of Racing.
- Women shall not weigh more than 135.0 lbs. Men shall not weigh more than 165.0lbs
The weigh-window for each LW event will follow the one hour/two hour window provided for in the 2023 USRowing Rules of Racing.
Additionally, at the time of the weigh-in, if a competitor is 1 pound or less over the weight limit, the competitor will have one additional attempt, within their weigh-in window to make weight. Competitors who exceed one pound over the weight limit shall not be weighed. A competitor not making weight may still compete and earn a non-LW result.
