The Lindamood Cup

The Muskingum River is a 5-lane non-bouyed 1500 meter course. At least two entries must be received to constitute a race. We utilize floating starts.

Classifications: A freshman oars person must be a freshman in high school. A junior oars person must be a freshman, sophomore or junior in high school. A novice oars person is in his/her first year of high school rowing.

Lightweights: Men's lightweight rower limit is 150 pounds and women's lightweight rower limit is 130 pounds. There will NOT be weigh-ins in 2022 as it will be on the honor system.

B Entries: B boat entries will be accepted in events only if they do not create an extra heat. B Boat entries medal but no points will be awarded toward the cup. B boats will be placed in the order we receive them.

Hotseating: Races will not be held for hotseats. Please allow at least an hour between scheduled events for your rower.

Bow Numbers: You are responsible for your own bow numbers.  

There is a maximum of two events per rower.

No crew races without waivers or fees being submitted.

Scoring: Barnes scoring method is used. As noted above, B entries do not score. Additionally, if an event only has two entries and they are from the same team, neither entry scores.

Awards: Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. However, you must beat a boat to medal. Single entry events do not receive a medal, 2 entry events only give first place medals, and 3 entry events only give first and second place medals. There will be a boys, girls, and combined team trophies.

Eligibility: The Lindamood Cup is a high school-only (scholastic) regatta. Junior and/or club programs that pull athletes from more than one high school are not eligible to race at the Lindamood Cup.
