The Montral Olympic Basin was first use in 1975 for the World junior Championships (test event, one year before the Montral 1976 Olympic Games). The seven lanes concrete "Basin" is unique since it is only one metro station from downtown Montreal in wonderful parc Jean-Drapeau. Home of the Montreal Rowing Club, the Quebec canoe-kayak provincial team and Dragon-Boats schools, the "Basin" is hosting rowing, canoe-kayak and Dragon boat regattas, but also triathlon and swimming events.
