THERE WILL BE NO COACHES AND COXSWAINS MEETING.
The North Carolina Rowing Championships is open to all eligible youth, collegiate, and masters rowers.
Youth & collegiate races will be 1,500 meters. Masters races will be 1,000 meters.
Crews must supply their own bow numbers.
Only one entry per club is permitted in each event with the exception of the single sculls event. An additional entry may be permitted in other events if space is available after the close of entries. Email the regatta director to express interest in multiple entries. The typical solution is to add a Division II event if more than one team wishes to enter multiple entries.
A club may only enter the Division II event if they have an entry in the corresponding youth event.
EVENT CATEGORIES:
A Competitor may compete in the U15 category until December 31 of the year of his or her 14th birthday.
A Competitor may compete in the U16 category until December 31 of the year of his or her 15th birthday.
A Competitor may compete in the U17 category until December 31 of the year of his or her 16th birthday.
A novice rower is defined as any rower that participated in their first interclub competition after November 15, the previous year, regardless of class year. Experienced coxswains may race in novice events. However, coxswains must be eligible for all other events they participate in regards to age/middleschool status.
A middle school rower is any student currently attending school in Grade 6, 7, or 8. All participants must be at least 11 years of age on the day of the regatta.
Coxswains will be not be required to weigh in.
There will be no Lightweight events in 2021.
Age handicaps will be applied using USRowing formula.
Clubs from any state are eligible to compete.
