Hammerfest is the indoor event for Belmont Rowing Center: a fledgling small group of rowers in the greater Charlotte region. It is hopefully the first of many.

Belmont Rowing Center's mission is to provide affordable and accessible recreational and competitive rowing programs for youth and adults as a means to promote the sport, foster teamwork, encourage physical activity, and healthy lifestyle.

NCR began doing business as Belmont Rowing Center (BRC)

NCR signed a lease on a home in Belmont at an old mill property on the Catawba River

NCR operated out of the Lake Norman YMCA waterfront

NCCSR Board of Directors transferred Youth, Competitive, and sweep rowing to North Charlotte Rowing (NCR)

North Carolina Community Sailing and Rowing (NCCSR) brought the sport of crew/rowing to Lake Norman
