Due to the HWY 35W bridge collapse this past Summer, the section of the Mississippi River were we have normally hosted the North Star Challenge will be under heavy use by barge traffic cleaning up the bridge debris. The city of Minneapolis will not issue us permits for use of the river on a Sunday either. We tried to find other locations but the cost of relocating our regatta, and the limited time allowed, is forcing us to cancel the regatta this year. We're very sorry to announce this, but feel it is the best thing to do under the circumstances. We are looking forward to hosting this event back on our stretch of the river in 2008.
