Internships

An internship with the Sunflower State Games offers excellent insight into the world of event planning and sports marketing and management. Interns have the opportunity to earn college credit as well as gain the experience necessary to compete for positions in these industries. There are multiple internship openings available for the spring, summer, and fall terms. Come help conduct the largest amateur athletic event in the state of Kansas!

How to Apply:

Submit a resume and cover letter outlining why you want to work with the SSG and what qualities, skills and attributes you possess. Please indicate which internship you are interested in. Please note: the internships may be combined to accommodate students needing to fulfill standard requirements set by their school and is highly recommended to obtain an optimal experience.

Deadline:

Spring Internships: January 13, 2017

Summer Internships: May 1, 2017

Fall Internship: August 7, 2017

Start/End dates are somewhat flexible. Minimum hours expected are 15 hours per week in the spring/fall and 20 hours per week in the summer depending on the position. SSG is willing to work around school and work schedules. All interns will work from SSG Headquarters in Topeka. Summer interns are required to work all competition dates including: July 14-30, 2017.
