Hot Head Regatta

Junior Category: Participants must be 18 years of age or under, or enrolled full time, and be in good standing in a high school academic program.

 Masters Category:

Team Boats: All participants in the crew (excluding the cox'n) must be at least 21 years of age and the boat must average a minimum of 27 years, rounded down. 

Sculling: All single scullers must be at least 27 years of age.  There will be age handicapping.

Open Category: There is no restriction of any sort to this category.

Novice Category: you must have started rowing and/or sculling after January 1, 2007 to qualify as a novice. The two categories of rowing and sculling are not mutually exclusive. Therefore, if you have been sculling since June '05 and you started sweep rowing June '07, you do not qualify as a novice of any sort.

The race course will be 3 miles, with one long sweeping, 180 degree turn just past halfway through the course.

Medals will be given to all winners. 

The regatta will stage out of the Town Lake Marina, located on the north side of the lake, and their will be secure overnight storage in a fenced in area.
