Capital Sprints Regatta (“Cap Sprints”) began seventeen years ago as a scrimmage among cross-town rivals and has grown into a summer racing tradition for rowing teams all over the D.C. area and up and down the East Coast.  Each year, more than 200 youth and adult athletes with various phyiscal ability compete in 30 plus rowing categories during the day-long event, capped with music and a post-race BBQ.
