In 2016 the City of Tempe is completing construction on a new hydraulic dam at the West end of Tempe Town Lake. Once that dam is completed the water will be removed from Tempe Town Lake in order to remove the old dam system. Unfortunately that means that there will be no Desert Sprints Regatta in 2016. In an effot to give back to the community the Tempe Rower's Association will be hosting the Pull the Plug Regatta. This is a 1000 meter fun regatta where a $10 entry fee gets the rower as many races as they can race, a t-shirt and a regatta pin.
