The Jordanelle Reservoir is a truly spectacular location for a Head Race. The nicely protected South Arm of the Jordanelle Reservoir offers consistently good water. Our racing area will be closed to powerboat traffic, while allowing fishermen and waterskiers to enjoy the northern segment of the Reservoir which will prevent disrupting of the events.
COURSE MAP
We anticipate being able to run the traditional "High Water" straight course from the Rock Cliff end of the Reservoir as a primary goal each year. The Rock Cliff end offers fabulous spectator opportunities with the finish line very near the launch/land area, so keep your fingers crossed for continued high water. Unfortunately, the high volume of rain we experienced through out the last 6 month, did not help our situation well enough to hold a "straight 5K". The water levels dropped considerably during the last 2 weeks only, and we will have to revert all our efforts to hold the "Low Water" course, with launch and landing occurring at the PWC ramp of the Hailstone segment of the Jordanelle State Park.
BOAT PARK - new - DESIGNATED AREA
Hot seated boats, boats that are borrowed from other teams and boats that are raced by multiple crews can be left on your own slings near the dock on the south side of the ramp (DESIGNATED AREA) accessed through a walk-way. Note: All boats launching from that area are still subject to safety check. Boats must be beach lauched if coming from the boat park area. Crews that leave their boats outside the boat park area will be penalized. This area will be marshalled.
