Thank You Thank You Thank You!!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2024 Nancy Storrs Ontario Indoor Rowing Championships. 572 participants from 9-66 years old raced in 22 events. Congratulations to Victoria Gates from Niagara Falls RC who broke the 24 year old record for the Junior High School Women's event. Congratulations to Matthew Pecorella from Orillia RC, Max Huang from UCC and Violet Najjar of Don RC who all beat last year's winning times in the 2nd edition of the U13/U15 mens and womens races and have become the event record holders.
Thank you to Regatta Sport and Hudson for providing the Top 10 T-shirts. It was fantastic to see all the winner wearing such a great tribute to Nancy around the venue. Thank you to Fluidesign for outfitting our volunteers. And a huge thank you to Ridley College for the amazing venue that has been home to this event since it's inauguration.
Finally, thank you to our volunteers without whom, none of this would be possible. Thank you to those who put together the ergs and those that helped set up the venue. Thank you to the registration and weigh in volunteers who welcomed all competitors with a friendly smile. Thank you to our umpires Louise and Lorna and our medical staff Hilary and Catherine who kept everyone safe. Thank you to our race coordinators who kept the ergs clean and helped all our racers. Thank you to our announcer for keeping everyone informed. Thank you to Brian and his timing team for running the system and pulling together all the results. Thank you to our prize team who organized and awarded 220 top 10 t-shirts. Thank you to the break down crew who cleaned up the venue in under 90 min. Thank you to all the volunteers who did any and every job needed to help make the event run smoothly.
