These are the results for the 30th Annual Augusta Invitational Regatta, March 16th 2013. The regatta was held on Langley Pond in Aiken County, SC.
The weather was sunny with temps in the mid-70’s. Unfortunately the wind was strong and got stronger as the day progressed. Racing was suspended in the afternoon. The only four afternoon races to take place were the high school varsity 8+’s and the college varsity 8+’s.
The winners of the overall points trophies were:
College Champions --- 1) Alabama Crew --- Tuscaloosa, AL --- followed by 2) University of Richmond --- Richmond, VA and 3) NC State Crew --- Raleigh, NC
High School Champions --- 1) Asheville Youth Rowing Assn. --- Asheville, NC --- followed by 2)Charlotte Youth Rowing --- Charlotte, NC --- 3) Augusta Junior Crew.
(Note: The order of finish for event 16a was determined by the referee on the water after the conclusion of the race.)
