As o 7/16/24 registration has closed and were are now preparing heat sheets.  We were able to accept all but 13 entries form our wait list. Unfortunately there are not more hours in a day and we hope that you can join us next year. As of today 7/18/24 we are very busy preparing for the regatta and email requests for scratches and line up changes will be made on a best effort basis. If you have not received confirmation, please see the registration table on Sunday morning. 

Your enthusiasm in growing our little regatta was been wonderful, thank you to everyone for your support. 

It has been wonderful getting to know so many of you through responding to your questions, requests, line up changes, scratches, etc.. and we look forward to meeting you in person on Sunday. We ask that you please reach out through our official channels [email protected]. Please do not approach members of the race committee requesting special favors through their personal email, phones, social media, front door, etc.. We need to be respectful of the boundaries around our volunteers, their personal time and space, as well as provide an even playing field for all participants. 

Please have each athlete fill out the Waiver here .  Athletes who have not completed the waiver will not be allowed to race. 

Please complete Car Top and Trailer Registration  by Tuesday July 16th 

Racing Format

• U17, U19, U23  events will run with a time trial in the early morning. The top 4 boats in each event will progress to a sprint final. 
• Masters events will Run as final flights. The winner of each flight will medal.
• Juniors events will run as final flights. The winner of each flight will medal. 
• Open events will run as final flights, except the 1x event. The 1x will Run as heats with a final
• Lunch break is expected to be between event 37/38 (Subject to change)

Schedule 

• Schedule is considered a draft until Race Day and subject to change, please check for updates 
• Power boat times listed are approximate placeholders.  Power boat breaks occur Every Hour On the Hour and Half Hour.
• In order to keep the regatta on time, If all boats are present races will start events early.  We will not hold races for late/missing boats. Please be in the pooling area at least 15 minutes before your race.

Exhibition Events 

Each year we trial new events at Cromwell and collect participant feedback to determine if the event should be part of the schedule the following year.  The Regatta committee reserves the right to tweak exhibition events during the registration period based on feedback and registration.

• U17, U19, U23
• Parent Child 
• Coach Athlete
• Inclusive
• Adaptive
• Novice 1x
• 500M Dash
• Open Gender 2x

Eligibility 

Age

Cromwell Cup follows the US Rowing Rules for U17, U19, U23 and masters rowing. 

Gender

Event registration as "Men's" and "Women's" is a limitation of the Regatta Central software and US Rowing. Cromwell Cup is not a US Rowing Regatta. Cromwell Cup welcomes all athletes to compete as their true and authentic self. 

Lightweight

All athletes rowing lightweight events must weigh in on Sunday between 7AM and 10 AM. Any lightweight athlete who has not weighed in by 10AM will be scratched from their event.  Weigh in will be at the registration table in the erg room on the second floor of the boat house.  Lightweight woman: Max 130lbs, Lightweight men: Max 160lbs. 

Registration / Wait list 

The regatta registration cap has been replaced with a per event entry cap.  We will actively manage the wait list and when possible add reallocate entries from under subscribed events to oversubscribed events.  We are most likely to add a entries when we can fill a heat.
