Travel Restrictions Update :
The New Jersey travel restrictions as of April 5, 2021, state that any traveler from outside of New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware or New Jersey are recommended to quarantine for 10 days upon arriving in the state (New Jersey guidelines found here). Due to this ruling, the USRowing Mid-Atlantic Youth Championship will only be open to teams located in the above states ( New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware or New Jersey ), and will not accept entries from any additional states. If this ruling changes prior to entries closing, we will reassess opening it to the additional Mid-Atlantic Region teams, but at no point will the Mid-Atlantic Youth Championship be open to out of region teams.
If you are a team that is normally in the Mid-Atlantic region, but is not in one of the five listed states above, as of April 5, 2021, New Jersey will welcome you as a traveler but you must provide proof of being fully vaccinated. USRowing will be rolling out a detailed COVID-19 risk mitigation plan that will explain how proof of vaccination would be reported. Fully vaccinated being defined as 14 days after the final shot is a series.
Entry Limit Update:
An organization’s top crew should be designated as its “A” entry. Organizations submitting multiple entries should designate their second crew as its “B” entry. This is important for seeding purposes.
Each organization may submit a maximum of two entries in all Youth National Regatta events where there is not a 2V category offered.
Athletes are eligible to compete in a maximum of two (2) events. Coxswains are NOT limited in the number of events they may enter; however, they must meet all appropriate eligibility and classification requirements for each event being entered.
Due to the travel restriction limitations at this time (April 5, 2021), we are encouraging teams to enter as many events per athlete as wanted, while understanding that hot seating will not be accommodated in any way. If you would like to enter more than the above limits state, these athletes will be put on a wait list. If the restrictions are not lifted prior to registration closing, we will allow waitlisted entries to be included in the regatta.
