The Head of the James will be conducted under USRA Rules. There is a mandatory Coaches, Scullers, and Coxes meeting at 8:30 AM. First boat in at 9:00 AM and racing will commence at 9:30 AM. The Racing Schedule provides for various Junior and Masters events. Masters races will be handicapped by age. Any Masters sculler or boat not providing the participants' ages during registration will not receive a handicap the day of the race. Hot seating is discouraged since launch times will be maintained.
