YOUTH  ENTRY  LIMITATIONS: 

Based on growth of this regatta over the last five years, we expect to come close to maxxing out our available entry slots.
Therefore, for Youth teams we are continuing with our per team limit of:
SINGLES   &   DOUBLES:     three  (3)  boats per gender per event
ALL  OTHER  EVENTS:         two  (2)  boats per gender per event

If space allows, we may offer Waitlist options or expanded allowances for Singles.

Please contact Coach Dragos Alexandru if you have questions or need exemptions to the above. 

 

MASTERS: 

We  are  again  utilizing  the   "minimum  50%  rule"   for  women  in  Mixed  Masters  boats.
Boats must have a minimum of 50% women, howeverthe crew can be composed of as much as 100% women if you prefer. 

 

PARA  ROWERS:

Races will be handicapped according to US Rowing guidelines for BOTH  age  and  Para  classification.

The total of your handicap will be the sum of each of these two amounts (age  plus  classification).

 

ALL  RACERS: 

YOU  MUST  HAVE  AT  LEAST  ONE  HOUR  BETWEEN  RACE  TIMES  WHEN  DOUBLING.
We must stay on schedule, so please ensure at least one hour between start times when Doubling.

Please  be  sure  to  execute   EITHER   the   FSRA   NOARA   OR   US ROWING   online  waiver   for  this  regatta ! 
The NOARA waiver from 2013 - 2014 has expired and must be renewed for all regattas hosted by FSRA clubs during the 2014 -- 2015 season.

US Rowing's waiver runs from  Jan 01  until  Dec 31  each calendar year.

 


LOCAL  RULES: 

HEADING  SOUTH  TOWARDS  START  LINE:
Do not leave the Intracoastal Waterway unless instructed to do so by a course marshal or referee.

REFEREES  MAY  INSTRUCT  CERTAIN  BOATS  TO  YIELD  PRIOR  TO  THE  NO  PASSING  ZONE:
Failure to yield when instructed by a referee will result in minimum 30 sec penalty.   Penalty may be higher.

NO  PASSING  ZONE:
Attempting to pass in the No Passing Zone is not allowed.     Violators face 30 sec penalty.

EIGHTS  ARE  NOT  ALLOWED  TO  PASS  OTHER  BOATS  IN  MANGROVE  NARROWS:
Eights may not attempt to pass in the narrows of the mangroves.    Violators face 30 sec penalty.

ROWERS  MUST  FOLLOW  ALL  INSTRUCTIONS  GIVEN  BY  RACE  PERSONNEL  AND  REFEREES:
Failure to follow instructions may result in 30 sec  or  greater   penalty.

REFEREES  HAVE  THE  AUTHORITY  TO  ASSIGN  ADDITIONAL  PENALTIES  IF  WARRANTED.
