Tempe Marketplace is located just a short distance from Tempe Town Lake and has many restaurants and shops along with a Target, a Harkins Movie Theater, and a Total Wine.
Cactus League Spring Training begins February 20 and runs through March 25. Five of the stadiums are located within 10 miles of the lake making it easy to attend a Friday or Saturday game and race on Sunday.
The Downtown Tempe Authority has a ton of info available on what is happening in the Mill Avenue District.
