- How do the relays work?
- Two different relays are offered.
- 2-person teams and each person rows 1,000m
- 4-person teams and each person rows 1,000m
- For each relay event, a team has one erg. While one team member rows, the other(s) wait behind a line a few feet behind their team's machine. At each 1,000m mark, one rower gets off the machine while the next rower gets on the machine.
- Two different relays are offered.
- Why so many events?
- We start with USRowing's list, which ius about 160 events.
- Then we add our unique, non-national championhsip events such as:
- Non-binary events
- Hour of Power
- 5,000m races
- 2 and 4-person relays, including the parent-child event.
- Middle school and ERG ED® races
- We do combine races to streamline the schedule. For example, some lightweight races might be run at the same time as their openweight counterparts or multiple age groups might be run together. However, in each of these cases, the results will be separated for medals and team points.
- Why the new venue for 2025?
- PLU was not available on the date set by USRowing.
