HereNow schedule and the heat sheets are up. You can find these on the Heat Sheet/Draw tab of RegattaCentral.
Please note that the late registration and scratch forms are getting put into HereNow Saturday morning - the schedule readjustments took longer than expected.
2.21.25 PM
Coaches & Coxes & Blind boat meeting at 12:30p!
Driving in the loop - NO vehicles will be allowed inside the loop 60 minutes prior to the first race of the day. Cars will be allowed in 60 minutes after the last race of the day.
To correct language – The races are in FLIGHTS, not time-trials. We're racing for the fastest time across the flights. I ask around and it's only after I publish something that I get corrected. Oh well.
Buses will park on Nash Hernandez road, so supply trailers cannot park there. The supply trailers also should not be in with the boat trailers or in the lot on the west side of the venue. To accommodate the buses, we cannot designate parking for the parent trailers.
I have sent all the teams compliance reminders. We will check that before C&C meeting.
2.21.25
In looking at the weather for Saturday again this morning. The forecast both on Weather.gov and our local news stations showed getting the temp to 40 was happening later in the day and the light rain was sticking around. Precipitation is expected overnight between Friday and Saturday with freezing patches possible on the roads in the morning.
In consultation with our Chief ref, we have opted to MOVE the 2x’s to Sunday. This enables us to have races between 2p and 5:30p on Sat. By moving the start time back again allows our refs, volunteers, teams, and spectators more safety when traveling to the venue.
Changes that have been made:
- Moved 2x and Jr Novices and U-16 from Saturday to Sunday
- #10 Mens Jr 1v2x
- #14 Mens Open 2x
- #15Mens Masters 2x
- #17 Womens Jr Novice 4x
- #20 Womens Jr 1v 2x
- #23 Womens Open 2x
- #24Womens Masters 2x
- #37Mens Jr Novice 4x
- #40 Mens U-16 4x+
- ALL races Sat and Sun are Time-trial format
- Floating starts with quick starts throughout the weekend. No stake boat holders.
These changes do impact the Sunday schedule so I’ll be posting that as soon as I can.
We’ll be adjusting the HereNow schedule when we are able to and publishing the new heat sheets as soon as we can along with the volunteer schedule on Give Pulse.
2.20.25
The weather on Saturday is appearing to get worse with potential freezing rain over night between Friday and Saturday with continued light rain throughout Saturday. We have been in consultation with the City of Austin Special Events office, meteorologists, our Chief referee, and USRowing representatives.
We have decided on the following actions:
- Cancel all remaining 1x and 2-
- #1 Men’s Open 2-
- #7 Women’s Masters 1x
- #29 Men’s Masters 1x
- #38 Women’s Masters 2-
- Races will start at Noon and the last race at 5:06pm.
- C&C at 10:30am. Docks open for launching at 11:15am
- In order to fit as many races in between that time, we will run the heats as time-trials for final time. All Saturday events are finals.
- The new schedule is up on RegattaCentral. I am working with HereNow to get the Heat sheets equivalent posted as soon as we can.
- We have bus parking for extra warming capabilities on Nash Hernandez road where we normally direct the team trailers. Plan to only park 1 bus at the venue if your team has multiple buses.
We will not be giving refunds for the cancelled races.

2.17.25 updated to consider the cold weather and cold water temperatures this coming weekend.
- We moved all the 1x to late in the morning. This brings the 1x races into part of the morning that 40 degrees is expected. This follows ARC weather policy and brings the water temperature + air temperature to above 90 degrees or better.
- Added 15 minutes to Saturday lunch break to enable refs to warm up a bit more.
Additional weather actions include:
- Saturday morning: Floating starts with quick start will be through noon. Stakeboat holding will be reimplimented in the afternoon pending weather conditions.
- Warming tents - 1 for emergencies, 1 additional for general use.
- Safety launches stocked with emergency blankets, hand warmers, towels.
- Extra blankets and towels at regatta village.
We are diligently watching the weather forecast for worsening conditiions. Rain expectation is low, raising rain percentages would bring more concern and possibly additional adjustments.
Sunday currently does not have changes, though we are watching that mornings weather also.
Regatta Packet can be found here.
2.11.25: Updated Regatta packet to include U-16 definition and match U-17 wording to USRowing Rules of Rowing.
Volunteer Policy
Each team needs to provide 1 person for a stake boat shift for each day your team has a race. Stake boat shifts are usually 2 hours long and can be fulfilled by a parent, a sibling, a friend, or a racer. Teams will be asked for the name and contact information when checking in for registration.
Trash removal
All crews must take their trash and recycling to the dumpster located in the small parking lot at the west end of the venue. Teams may bring a man-powered cart or a wagon to facilitate moving their trash to the dumpster.
Handling of oars when launching.
All boats must demonstrate they have oars and people to carry them to the Launch Dock before they will be permitted to cross the trail to the dock. It is not sufficient to have oars placed nearby that an individual rower or crew members will leave the dock to fetch.
Forms
Registration will a a small amount of copies of forms. However if you know you will need to submit forms, please print these and bring them to onsite registration.
