Rules and Eligiblity
Please refer to SRAA’s rules for the SRAA regatta.
For progression to the SRAA Championship from West Coast Scholastics, all SRAA rules will apply unless otherwise determined between your team and the SRAA leadership.
The West Coast Scholastic Championships does not have the ability to change the SRAA qualification rules/requirements. Teams racing at or not involved with the WCSRC may petition SRAA leadership for entry into SRAAs.
This West Coast Scholastics regatta is for school programs hosted by schools, and those few programs specifically supporting and serving schools, as school teams, and as agreed upon with West Coast Scholastics leadership, that would not otherwise have teams. Any qualification questions in these instances should be directed to the West Coast Scholastics leadership.
Racing will be conducted under the USRowing “Rules of Racing” and the West Coast Scholastics rules:
- The West Coast Scholastic Rowing Championships is an invitational regatta.
- The WCSRC Regatta is a USRowing registered regatta.
- Invitations to this regatta are open to qualified crews of any public or private school given to the education of youth. Entries must be made up of students of single scholastic entities. Such students must exclusively race representing that school during the spring season (January - May).
- A national scholastic institution must certify the status of the school.
- Students must be working toward a diploma.
- Composite teams are not allowed to race at WCSRC.
