Para Classification for USRowing and Erg Sprints Para Events
Para athletes who are classified can participate in USRowing para events at Erg Sprints and compete at the national level for USRowing medals (winners in these events will also receive Erg Sprints medals).
Para athletes who are not classified can:
- Obtain classification prior to the event (see more below); or
- Participate in Erg Sprints para events and compete for Erg Sprints medals. Erg Sprints para athletes are self-classified.

- Visit the USRowing Para Classification site for links to the documentation required for para classification, at https://usrowing.org/sports/2023/3/31/usrowing-para-classification-information.aspx.
- The paperwork for classification must be submitted 45 days prior to the event; for Erg Sprints that date is Dec. 20, 2023.
