Classifications
Junior Events:
A competitor who in the current calendar year does not attain the age of 19, or who is currently, and has been continuously, enrolled in secondary school as a full-time student seeking a diploma.
- Varsity - Competitors are all currently enrolled in a high school or secondary school
- JV - Competitors are enrolled as high school juniors or lower, OR if all 3 of the following conditions are met:
- A team may enter a JV team boat that includes seniors, if those teams have also entered a Varsity boat in the corresponding event.
- No more than half of any JV boat lineup can be comprised of seniors (not including the coxswain)
- It is understood that the Varsity boat entered is faster than the JV entry.
- Freshman/Novice - Competitors must be in their first season of competitive rowing or in grade 9 or lower
Dual Style Racing
- The Buffalo River is a relatively narrow waterway. Races will primarily run with two lanes, and a third lane will only be added when necessary.

- We intend to time each race, but progression at this regatta is based on finish POSITION not time.
Entry/athlete caps
- All events are capped at 8 boats
- Each organization may enter a maximum of 2 boats in each event, but may add more entries to the waitlist
- Waitlisted boats will be reviewed and accepted in events that are not full
- Athletes are limited to participating in only 2 events
