Footwear - Boats are staged in a field area near the launch and recovery docks. Since this is generally not a pedestrian area, it can be rough on bare feet. All rowers are requested to wear adequate footwear in the boat staging and dock areas. Sandals or slides may not be adequate.
Coaches and Coxswains Meeting: Wednesday, October 5, 7:30PM via Zoom. Registration Link has been sent to registered teams. All participants will need to be pre-registered for the zoom meeting.
Is handicaped parking available? Yes. Cars displaying handicap identification will be permitted to park in the Walnut/Sunbury Road Parking Lot as space allows. Shuttle service will also be available from the remote parking area.
Are the team tent areas assigned or first come, first served? Individual team tent areas are not pre-assigned within the team tent zone. We ask that teams be courteous of the space and their neighbor teams. Detailed maps can be found on the Venue Tab.
Where are Cartop Boats to be unloaded and cars parked? Cars carrying boats may park at the Boat Ramp lot 500 meters north of Walnut Street if space allows. Alternatively, cartop boats may be unloaded in the Rower Drop-off Zone. After unloading, cars should park in designated parking areas. The launch docks are adjacent to the Boat Ramp lot. Boats may arrive any time after 2PM on Friday.
Where can spectators view the race? There is great viewing of the race course along the bike path which runs along the reservoir. There is NO VIEWING from the Smother’s Road Bridge. This bridge is not built for pedestrian traffic and for the safety of spectators as well as regatta participants and officials below the bridge, there is no viewing allowed from the bridge.
Do mixed masters events have to have an equal number of male/female rowers? Mixed Masters 8+ ONLY - Boats may be comprised of up to 5 women maximum, otherwise the gender split should be 50% male / 50% female.
What age criteria is used for Masters? Rowers who are age 21 or older during the calendar year may row in Masters events.
What is the criteria for the Middle School Events? These events are intended for middle school rowers who are just being introduced to the sport and are training 2-3 days per week rather than 5-6. Boats may consist of boys, girls, or mixed.
