Augusta Invitational Regatta

  • Hosted By: Augusta Rowing Club, Inc.
  • 2022 Registered Regatta
  • Cancelled

Good morning everyone,

Unfortunately, we are having to cancel the 2022 Augusta Invitational Regatta. Despite every effort to have the course at Langley Pond ready for rowing, unforeseen delays have caused us to make the difficult decision to cancel the regatta. We apologize for any inconvenience, but wanted to let you know our decision to give everyone plenty of time to cancel any reservations. We will plan to hold the regatta in March 2023.

Please be on the lookout for information later this year regarding the HOTS Regatta (November 12, 2022) and our coaches conference (December 2022).

Please call or email Brad with any questions.

Welcome back to Langley Pond!!!!!

We have been away for far too long. It's time to get back to racing.

We have exciting new announcements for this years Augusta Invitational.

First, we have a 10 lane course so there will be very FEW events requiring heats. "B", "C", "D" entries in any event will only be accepted if they do NOT cause heats. Late entries will only be accepted if they do not cause heats.  If there are a sufficient number of B and C boats we will create another event.

Second, we have completely turned the schedule upside down. The big 8+'s go first. Coaches can focus on the most important event early without worrying about wearing out the best athletes on the team with 2-3 other races first. Now the athletes can double and triple in the smaller boat classes. This will also allow you to load the top of your trailer early which will aid in exiting the venue at the end of the day. This should shave at least 45 minutes off of your end of day trailer loading.

Third, Langley Pond Park has a disc golf course now that runs through the woods along the course. It is one of the top 10 courses in the country and it's free so if your kids have time and a frisbee, they can go for a walk in the woods.

Fourth, we will have some crews visiting from the northern regions once again this year. We welcome all teams to come enjoy Aiken County, SC and the greater Augusta area.

We will have many many announcements coming soon. There is a discount for early registration this year. NO, we do not want to play games with you coaches who enter early to hold your place and then wish to make 1000 changes later. The discount is for those programs that have their acts together early
