In Sarasota County's Nathan Benderson Park lies a 400-acre lake prefect for all types of water actives. The park is located at 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota, FL 34235, between University Parkway and Fruitville Rd. NBP is a Sarasota County park. The park was convert from a shell borrow pit to an international rowing facility via a $20 million facelift that was paid for by our local Sarasota County visitors bureau, VISIT SARASOTA COUNTY. The park is operated by SANCA, (Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates, Inc). SANCA, USRowing and their partners, will host the FISA 2017 World Rowing Championships. The State of Florida has contributed an additional $10 million to make NBP a great place for all sorts of aquatic events, triathlons and team training attracting national and international rowing and aquatic sporting programs.
