Iowa Indoor Rowing Challenge

The 2022 Iowa Indoor Rowing Challenge will take place on Saturday, February 12th on the Main Deck of the University of Iowa Field House

ALL EVENTS ARE IN-PERSON.

FOR SALE:  We are selling Concept 2 Model D machines.  $825.  Order deadline is January 14th.  Contact Amy Smith for more information or to place your order.  [email protected].  All machines must be paid in full prior to our placing the order.  Rowing machines will be used for our event, and then available for pick up directly afterwards.

COVID-19 MITIGATION:  Please read the Rules & Guidelines document.

Race and warmup rowing machines will be spaced 6ft + apart.  They do need to be connected by wires, and we will space as far apart as we can while insuring we can collect the data and run the projector screen to give the full experience of our event.  Depending on the number of entries, we may run multiple flights for one event.

Relays will be set up on individual rowing machines.  All athletes will race their 500m piece at the same time, and their total time will be calculated together.  No switching of ergs.

Only Coaches and Athletes are allowed in the warm up area and competition floor.  All will have wristbands.  There will be flow organized for entering and exiting the competition area, including an area for athletes to spread out following their event.  Please follow the directions and signage.  

We highly encourage all spectators and coaches to wear masks at all times.  Athletes will not be required to wear a mask during competition, but may do so if they choose.  Athletes are encourage to wear masks when not actively warming up or competing while moving around the event floor.
