The Holdswade Boathouse at Robious Landing Park, is the second home of VBC, and also the home of the James River High School team and River City Crew. This stretch of the James River is used for High School Regatta and Head races. The VBC Mens Masters program mainly train out of this location. It is also used by a number of out of state college crews for Spring Training Camps due to the excellent water conditions and miles of flat water.
The course will be 5 lanes , bouyed every 250m on the outside lanes and run upstream ( very light stream if any) to a finish at Robious Landing Park.
Around the finish line and within the rigging area (nicely wooded parkland) there will be space for spectators and crew tents.
Parking for trailers, car toppers and officials will be next to the rigging area, competitors and spectators will park at James River High School which is located at the enterance to the Park. There will be a short 5-8 minute walk from the competitor and spectator parking to the Boat Park / Rigging Area and launch docks. Drop offs available.
