(January 22, 2019)   NEW RACE DISPLAY PARTNERSHIP & LIVE STREAMING

The 2019 CIRC Organizing Committee are very excited to announce a new partnership with TIME-TEAM Regatta Management Systems from the Netherlands.

"Our race management system has been used during many races among which are the 2018 European Rowing Indoor Championships, the French Indoor Rowing Championships 2018 and also at the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Indoor Rowing Championship 2018 in Boston."   - Harm Hermsen, TIME-TEAM

Time-Team will provide an advanced race display at CIRC  this year, which allows to show a pace boat with the record holder, up to 32 ergs on the Jumbotron at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, smooth boat movement and playback capabilities after the race. We will be streaming live to the internet for people to watch at home.   More on this can be found on  the TIME-TEAM website.

(January 14, 2019)  HALF-TIME SHOW **New this year***

Yes there really is a half-time show this year.   CIRC is happy to announce the booking of UNITY CHARITY who will bring a dynamic hip hop/beat box vibe to the CIRC centre stage during the short lunch break.  Approximate time for the show is 12:15 pm

GO-THE-DISTANCE for 4 Minutes and WIN an ERG in the random draw!  Entry fee is $30 and all proceeds go to charity. If you have not entered yet, you should - odds of winning an erg in the random draw are unreal. Unity Charity has been selected at the charity for the 4 minute GO-THE-DISTANCE Race at the end of the race day.

Who is Unity Charity you ask?  Unity Charity uses hip hop to improve young people’s’ lives, creating healthier communities. With a strong focus on improving mental health and well-being, Unity empowers youth with the confidence and skills for success. By focusing its efforts in various communities across Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Northern Alberta, Unity engages a diverse group of young individuals who build resiliency, gain awareness of Unity’s programs, learn to appreciate the power of community, and gain awareness of mental health resources available to them.
