The 2018 Victoria City Rowing Club BC Championship Challenge West Regatta has come to a close.  The weather was excellent with a lot of great racing.  We hope everyone had a great time.

Time Trial Seeding
top16 in each group (G1, G2, etc) were seeded based on times provided by with the entry, with the seeding reviewed by a panel. Bow numbers (and start order) for rest of the entries in each group were assigned randomly

Main change is in schedule Event 31 Mens Open 4- heats moved from Saturday morning to later in the day after the G3 W Open 1x finals.

The following is the reasoning for the move (quoted from an earlier email from Brenda):
"This request is to accommodate athletes arriving back from FISU in China late Friday- they wouldn't be able to get to Victoria in time for the heat. Normally we don't make schedule changes to accommodate travel arrangements;  however, we are willing to consider it in this case because of the unusual circumstances, b/c it only affects 3 clubs (including the one making the request) and if the crews in question had to scratch it would diminish the quality of racing for the other crews."

Other events were shifted up and the lunch break was adjusted accordingly. The time of the last race of the day is unchanged.

Please review the schedule and draw carefully. Note the following schedule changes: Event 38 Women's Open 4x FINAL is now scheduled for FRIDAY July 13 4:55 pm and Event 34 Womens U192x HEATS are now scheduled for SATURDAY July 14 6:22 and 6:30 pm. 

Please note Bow numbers not final.The final bow numbers will be assigned on Thursday July 12, 2018
