The Methuen City Sprints Regatta is a 1000 meter race on the Merrimack River in Methuen.  The City Sprints attracts rowers of all ages and skill levels and is run entirely by Essex Rowing staff and volunteers.  Essex Rowing's goal by hosting this regatta is to contribute to the local summer racing circuit while bringing awareness to rowing on the Merrimack River to Methuen and its surrounding communities.  In 2010 we hosted our first event and with time we hope to build the race into a major event in the region featuring a 1,000 meter fully buoyed course with stake boats, easy dock access for launching and recovery.
