When entering the city of Pittsburgh, look for signs to the STADIUMS - Heinz Field and PNC Park. Tents, registration, and finish line are at North Shore Riverfront Park which is between the stadiums along the Allegheny River.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike get off at Exit 6 and follow 376 West to the North Shore exit. From the South go through the Fort Pitt Tunnels or Liberty Tunnel and follow signs to the STADIUMS. From the North, Erie and 80 West take 79 south to 279 south (left exit), and, as you get closer to the city, follow signs to the STADIUMS.
Trailer Parking. A map of the Parking Area Map can be seen at http://www.alcoparking.com/gameday.htm Trailers will be in Gold Lot 2 and MUST enter off General Robinson Way. A section of this lot will be reserved for vehicles with VIP passes and buses for no charge. NO other vehicles will be allowed. A volunteer will be on hand to assist you. Security will be provided on Friday evening. Trailers must be removed on Saturday evening at the conclusion of the event. North Shore Drive (in the vicinity of the regatta) is closed on Saturday starting at 5:00 am. Please arrange to cross all shell traffic within these times. NO vehicles will be allowed down North Shore Drive on Saturday.
Car & Bus Parking. Spectator parking near the finish line will be available for $3 at the General Robinson Street garage (http://www.alcoparking.com/gameday.htm). Buses carrying competitors may park for free in the VIP lot in the area designated (volunteers will direct you).
VIP free parking is available for badge holders of the VIP Crew Ship at Lot #1. Note: transportation via a golf cart is available for any badge holder who may need assistance to the Crew Ship. ONLY Volunteers and officials with a VIP parking pass may park in the VIP lot. Please understand that the volunteers managing parking will direct anyone without a VIP badge, VIP parking pass, or driving a bus carrying competitors to the nearby General Robinson Street Garage. There will be an area for athlete drop off. Please follow signs.
Walking Directions. Great views of the whole race can be had on bike or by walking along the river trail. This trail starts at the launching docks at Heinz Field (just below the finish line) and goes all the way to the starting line..
