2015 SECTION II CHAMPIONSHIPS

DIRECTIONS FOR ENTRY

1) Read the rules which follow:

a. Rowers may race on Saturday AND Sunday – Provided they meet the criteria of the event.

i.   The single can be considered either/neither Composite or Scholastic

ii. Rowers may compete in only 1 event on Sunday (sweep).  Re-rows are allowed ONLY when used to get kids a row who would not have been able to.  No more than 50% of a boat can be re-rows.

iii. The term “club/composite” refers to lineups made from kids representing

different school districts – NOT different, established rowing teams. These rowers should still be members of the same rowing association. .

b. Entry Deadlines

i.   All entries are due April 28th on www.regattacentral.com.

ii. All competitors will need an USRowing Waiver filled out beforehand.

iii. The Draw will be completed April 29th. Schedule Final as of May 1st.

     C. Event Rules (decided upon at the Section 2 Meeting)

i.   A Team MUST have a 1v entry to have a 2v: and so on.

ii. Teams must enter their boats in order of speed.  Fast in 1v, so on.

iii. A Lightweight (#130-girls; #150-boys) boat can be entered, but only as a separate event AND if there are other teams to race. 

(please note) An event is only considered an event IF there are at least two boats entered from different teams.

 2) Trophies & Medals

      a. Please be ready to return them from 2014 if you have them.

      b. All events will have one set of medals.  There are no separate

          medals for Scholastic and/or “Club”.
