BOYS AND GIRLS NOVICE 1X'S ADDED TO PHILADELPHIA YOUTH REGATTA

Listening to feedback from our participating clubs and coaches, we've added both Boys and Girls Novice Singles to the Philadelphia Youth Regatta.  Please note the definition of 'Novice' below.  Also, these events are the only CAPPED events and will be limited to just 2 flights each (12 boys, 12 girls).

DEFINITION OF 'NOVICE' EXPANDED

We have broadened the definition of NOVICE for the Philadelphia Youth Regatta.  For 2015, a 'Novice' rower shall be any athlete who did not row prior to January 1st, 2015 (This is a change from the prior date of May 1st). 

PLEASE NOTE: An athlete who competed as a Sweep Rower anytime before January 1st is NOT considered a 'Novice,' even if PYR will be the first race in which they are sculling.
