The Fault Line Faceoff

     March 1 -2, 2014

We are really excited to be hosting this event once again. We have several new additions this year, highlighted by our new racecourse on San Pablo Reservoir. We believe moving the event to San Pablo Reservoir will allow us to offer a better racing experience for your athletes and ensure a more fair playing field. Personally, I have always loved watching kids fight through the wakes emanating from random fishing boats venturing onto the racecourse or trying to maneuver around a Coast Guard Cutter turning in the middle of the Estuary, but those days are coming to an end.

The move to San Pablo has also afforded us the opportunity to expand the event so we are now able to invite more teams. In addition to participating teams from years past, we will be welcoming Capital Crew, Pacific Rowing Club, Stanford Rowing Center, San Diego Rowing Club and River City Rowing Club to the 2014 event.

All boats entering San Pablo Reservoir are subject to Quagga/ Zebra Mussel inspection. Therefore, we ask that all trailers arrive at the reservoir on Friday afternoon, so we can facilitate the inspection of your boats. We will have a coach on site to assist you on Friday. You will not need to unload the boats, so a trailer driver and Oakland coach will do. Please coordinate your trailer’s arrival with either Beth Anderson or Derek Byrnes prior to your departure.

Please go to Regatta Central to register to for the Fault Line Faceoff Invitational. We will be updating the site regularly with information pertinent to the regatta. You will find directions to the venue, lodging in the area, a map of the racecourse, the race schedule and a detailed outline of parking options for parents. When you register your entries the Regatta Central system will ask you for line-ups. You can bypass this process by clicking on “Save without Line-ups” at the bottom of the screen.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask either Beth Anderson or myself.

We look forward to see you all March 1st.
