Welcome to the 3rd Annual, 2014 Roosevelt Rowing Regatta!

On behalf of The Stewards Foundation, Ken Walters Productions, the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, and all of our sponsors and vendors, we wish to welcome all rowers, coaches, and visitors to the 2014 Roosevelt Rowing Regatta. We also extend a cordial invitation to all area residents to come out and watch the competition on the Seddon Channel in downtown Tampa from our Regatta Village on Davis Island at Marjorie Park and to join in the festivities.The race course on the Seddon Channel has various spectator viewing points along the course from Columbia Drive on Davis Island with the prime viewing along the old seawall from Marjorie Park through the HCC campus and the Riverwalk in front of Tampa General Hospital to the finish line. In the Regatta Village at Marjorie Park and HCC, you will be able to mingle with the competitors and learn all about the great sport of Rowing. There will be food and drinks and associated vendors available in the Regatta Village area from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Also, please see the link below to check out the wonderful opportunities our marquee sponsor, Ken Walters Productions has going on all weekend with live entertainment and specialty food offerings in the VIP area adjacent to the Regatta Village all weekend long.

The rowing races at the venue will occur on Saturday, Feb 15th, including junior or high school level competition as well as Masters level, and Adaptive events, the US Womens National Team will be showcased in an exhibition race, having spent the previous week in Tampa training. There will also be an exciting opportunity to meet the National Team at a reception at the Howard Johnsons on the evening prior to the race, Friday, Feb 14th. This is open to the public from 6:00 to 7:00 pm followed by a special dinner. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased through Regatta Central. 

On Sunday, Feb 16th, the Regatta continues with Dragon boat racing from 9:00 to 11:00 am on the main race course, followed by the 2014 Paddle for the Cure, a 5 mile SUP, Kayak, OC1 race up the main channel through the bridges to Riverfront Park and back starting at Noon, followed by a 2 mile Family Fun Race and plenty of opportunity to demo some equipment from our supportive vendors.
