Again for 2013, the unpaved parking lot across the street from the Rec Center on Shell Blvd. will be closed for any and ALL parking. On Sunday only, there is parking available at Boat/Dog Park as well as at Parkside Towers, located right at the corner of Shell Blvd. and E. Hillsdale Blvd. The Parkside Towers is a parking garage which means covered parking all day. It is a 7 minute walk from the parking garage to the race course. The Community Recreation Center and Senior Center parking lot will be used as a storage area for boats and trailers only. We are also asking teams to set up their boats in the big, luxurious Leo Ryan Park, located on the north side of the Rec Center. There is grass and an amphitheater for great viewing. Trailers may park overnight (Saturday) at Boat/Dog Park. If you plan to row on Saturday, then please park your trailer at Boat/Dog Park. There is NO athlete parking on SATURDAY at Boat/Dog Park. Please park on the street or across the lagoon at the Ranch 99 parking lot. (New for 2013) Practice is available after 12 PM on Saturday at Boat/Dog Park and the dock will be there for you to launch from. After you launch, you may leave your trailer at Boat/Dog Park or move it Rec Center on Sunday morning or Joe will move it for you. There is a wedding at the Rec Center on Saturday afternoon/evening, so there is NO parking for any towing vehicles or trailers on Saturday night at the Rec Center. Please be courteous. All trailer drivers should coordinate with race officials so we know when to expect you. Please call 650-576-4634 (Monica) or 650-296-8650 (Joe).
To make this regatta successful please send all your athletes and spectators directly to the parking garage at the corner of Shell and Hillsdale. You will need to go ALL THE WAY AROUND the parking garage to the entrance. PARKING IS FREE !! There is no fee, so park in the garage. The first door may not be open, keep driving around because the garage is open. It will be warm and sunny on Sunday, so keeping your car in a covered garage is a plus. Remember: GO DIRECTLY to the garage, DO NOT come near the Rec Center, DO NOT pass GO, DO NOT collect $200.
